Great news - Admins can now update External IDs for fields, either inline or in bulk.

  • Want to adjust a single field? Just click the icon next to the field name.
  • Need to update them all? Use the “Update IDs” button at the bottom left.

Updating an External ID cannot be undone and may affect automations, extensions, and APIs that rely on this ID in the linked database. So it’s worth double-checking before making updates.
At the same time, using consistent and meaningful External IDs makes it much easier to work with Tape’s API - and soon, to prefill form values via URLs.

That update was key to unlocking prefill in forms via URLs - a good example showing how deeply forms will be integrated into Tape. :tada:

Just a small issue - the App ID in the email to app still remains old, as for example:

***.copy-of-rechnungsausgang.***.***@inbound-smtp.tapeapp.com
