Can’t delete a chat with someone. This doesn’t make any sense, you can delete a message within a chat but not the whole chat.

thanks for the feature request!
You are of course absolutely right that deleting individual chats is a standard operation.
After we put the product focus on the generic database and the powerful automations, we have always developed the chat with feature requests from our customers to make sure that most of the development time goes into the core.
Until now, there was actually no request to delete individual chats. But now we take the request directly to the roadmap.

@Leo I’m obviously very eager to get the “Send Message via Automation” feature installed as well, but with regards to this, isn’t it essentially a GDPR violation to not allow users to delete messages? I believe this is why Podio added this, otherwise you would have to go to support to get messages deleted and because messages don’t have unique IDs available to us, we wouldn’t even know where to start. I think that for GDPR, every end user needs the ability to delete anything that might contain sensitive client data. Just a thought!

@Leo Apologies, I misunderstood the request. I can confirm that deleting individual messages works, but I still think deleting an entire chat would be beneficial. But for now, this seems to solve the problem I was having. Sorry for the false flag!

@andrew.cranston yes, you’re absolutely right. I’ll check how complex the feature would be. Deleting a chat itself is very easy, but reactivating when you write a new message on the already deleted chat and the other person has not deleted the chat could be a bit of work. Of course, everything has already been solved conceptually many times by chat tools, but it doesn’t feel like a low-hanging feature at second sight.
