When using the Tape API to retrieve record information, the Tape API response, by design, skips empty fields that you have on the app record. As a result, when a field is skipped, the next field takes its place in the API response, which can lead to inaccuracies in the data displayed on external systems. For more information, refer to this forum post.
In this webinar, I will explain how to avoid this issue by:
Creating an intermediate JSON file hosted on jsonbin.io
Using Tape “Execute a Script” automation to generate a custom JSON file with data from any Tape record.
Integrating a JSONbin API script to automatically create and update the JSON data.
Demonstrating how to dynamically use the JSON data in an external application.
This webinar is intended for heavy users of the Tape API who want easier response management.
@Leo question. When the new records are released I assume they will be mobile responsive like the dashboards?
My question: when we embed a database on an external website will the left side bar collapse to start on smaller screens? At the moment it needs to be minimized to see the table.
Thanks @Luis for hosting these and posting the recording. I couldn’t attend this last meeting, but just watched the video and it was great.
Loved the new feature demo from Leo and I can’t wait to use that! (@Leo I’ll ask the forbidden question…Can you share any hints about an expected release month…?)
I also learned a lot about improving the JSON data workflow possibilities. Thank You @Luis!
