πŸ†• Control what happens after someone submits a form in Tape

We just shipped a new feature for Tape Forms:
You can now decide what kind of access a submitter should have to the record they just created.

After submission by a logged-in user, choose whether they should:
β€’ have no access,
β€’ view it only,
β€’ comment,
β€’ edit,
β€’ share it,
β€’ or get full access

If the submitter already has higher access via the database app, that permission stays in place - the higher one takes priority.

Forms have always been great for collecting data via public link.
Now - Forms can become a powerful part of your team’s internal workflows.
With form permissions, you can control who can use a form inside Tape and with this new feature, you can define exactly what kind of access a submitter should have after submission.
This enables a smoother, more intuitive record creation process.
For example, when only a few essential fields are needed supported by guiding text, helpful visuals, and a well-structured column layout.

Using Forms inside of Tape unlocks a whole new range of possibilities.
This is new for all of us, and we’re excited to see what you’ll build with it.
Got a use case in mind? Please drop it in the comments.
