API for google maps broken again.
Experiencing the same here
sorry for the issue, this is not a bug, the problem was caused by an unusually high usage of the google maps API. We have currently a rate limit of 50k requests per hour, which was triggered 2 times in the last week. Presumably due to a migration with high data volumes.
After the hour where these limits were reached it worked again.
We will roll out a solution soon to fix the problem.

Got into situation again where maps doesnt populate today. It happens during the week also.

we actually rolled out a user based limit 2 weeks ago and disabled the global limit to fix this problem. This means that no other organization can exceed the API rate limit and cause this problem for other organizations (bad neighbor problem).
Is it possible that you have created more than 250 maps with one user in one day? This is the current limit and if you have reached this limit you will also see a note in the location field suggestion overlay.

There is no way that we created more than 250 in one day… Most that we created in 1 day can be 20 - 30 or so… I wish that we created more … but it is not.
For example… I just update one record that did not populated from yesterday.
Im not sure if you can share some stats how those were calculated. Is it by field or how ?
