[DONE] Bug: Clearing Date Fields with Time Requirement not working

Maybe I’m crazy, but if not, this seems like a pretty huge bug and I’m surprised it hasn’t come up anywhere else.

I have a date field where “Include Time” and “Require Time” are both checked, but the field itself is not required. While the field has a value, it seems impossible to clear it. When you open the field, I try to delete the date and hit tab to the time, but then the date field populates itself automatically. If I remove the time, and try to tab to the date field, same thing.

If I remove the date and hit enter, I see both fields clear themselves. If I hit enter again to try and save the field, I see the message “There was an error saving your changes” and when I refresh, the field still has a value here.

Something is definitely wrong. It should be possible to remove the value entirely but I can’t see how else to do it.

Thank you so much for your report – you were absolutely right!
I just checked myself, and there’s definitely a bug here. It looks like a regression in the validation logic.

We’ll work on a fix and will let you know as soon as it’s live.

@andrew.cranston the team has deployed a fix, and clearing the value should now work as expected. Could you confirm on your end whether this is resolved?
