I think you will find it will out put correctly if you:
Run a manual rather than simulation or if you disable the update record block before the script:
Why the update block stops the script block from running fully in the simulation mode I have no clue as it does generate the variable and will console.log that, hopefully the tape team can shed light on that but hopefully at least you have a work round.
