We use a calculation field to display an account summary, which includes hyperlinks to overdue task items. Users are noticing that sometimes that hyperlink will open the record in the new layout style, which their setting says it should, but other times the same link opens the record in the old layout. This is causing confusion.
We also had a similar experience, not through a link, but with just opening a record. We thought it might be related to caching, if the record existed before the switch to v2?
@dirk_s - was your issue experienced when the system was running in a state where some users were still on v1 records and only some users had switched over to v2 records?
We are hopeful that once it is fully approved (internally by our stakeholders) to convert the app for all users to only be on the new record style that this issue will be removed.
A bit nervous to take that leap however if it may cause confusion for some users that continue to land on old v1 records and think they’ve done something wrong.

I think it was very likely a mixed setup - some people with new record. But not everone yet.

We were indeed able to reproduce this - while being a bit “edge-casey” - this was a bug on our end. The fix has gone live today, so after a refresh this should behave as expected.
