@Leo we have realized multiple situations recently where there are some frustrating limitations with text entered as comments.
For some reason in Google Chrome we cannot select and copy/paste text that is posted in comments.
One example today was a task that showed up and I asked a team member to review with the client to learn more detail. They added a comment with very valuable notes on what was required for that task. I tried and tried, but could not copy those notes. So I had to manually go and re-type those notes in the details section of that task for easier future reference.
Why can’t we copy the text in the comment threads?
You are right, this is indeed a bug rather than a feature request
I therefore converted the topic into a bug report, even though you originally posted it as a feature request. Thanks for flagging it either way.
We already have a fix in the pipeline. In the new Record experience, this is a bit more complex because of the multi-selection logic. We need to handle every text area that should allow text selection explicitly, and in this case, the comment text was apparently missed.
This should be solved with the upcoming fix.
