File field: 200 files attached to a single file field; maximum file size is 100MB
I have 78 small files from 2 KB to 2.1 MB.
I tried to attach all of them at once which didn’t work.
I tried to add them in packs of 10 which didn’t work.
The max. amount of files I’m able to attach is 50, no matter what I’m doing.

thank you very much for the report and for taking the time to describe this so clearly. We just checked this on our side, and you are absolutely right. It does look like there is a limit being applied somewhere that should not be there.
We will investigate this and fix the issue. Our assumption is that this was accidentally introduced during the rollout of the new File Field. Since there is currently no error message shown, this indeed looks like a regression.
We will take care of this as soon as possible and get back to you once the problem is resolved.

thanks for your report. The dev team looked into this, and indeed there was an issue where in certain cases an invalid limit of 50 files was applied (instead of the documented official limit of 200).
A fix has just been deployed. You should be able to confirm on your end that after a refresh the proper limit of 200 is applied correctly now.
