A client account has an app which is switched into the New Record layout and they LOVE the improved look and feel.
They are noticing an issue recently where upon an initial page load, the text boxes appear to be empty. Users freak out thinking it has lost data they worked hard on entering.
If we execute a hard refresh however, the text in those text boxes appears just fine.
I can send a demo video via private DM.
thank you so much for the great feedback on the New Record layout. We are very happy that your client loves the new look and feel ![]()
And thanks for the video. This is indeed a very annoying bug, and I fully understand that users get worried about possible data loss. That must be very unsettling.
It looks like an r issue related to the rich text editor on initial page load. We will look into this with high priority and fix it as quickly as possible.
I will get back to you as soon as we have an update.
Thanks again for the report and have a nice weekend!
Best,
Leo
thanks again for your patience!
We’ve identified the root cause of the issue and implemented a fix. After a simple refresh, everything should now work as expected and no text should disappear anymore.
As suspected, the problem was related to the rich text component and a data merge between the client-side DB and the server re-opening after initial load. This led to missing values being displayed.
The good news: the underlying synchronization logic has now been fixed in a robust and sustainable way, so this should not occur again.
Please let us know if you notice anything unusual, but from our side this is fully resolved and tested.
Cheers,
Leo
