🧩 Enhancing Tape Form (for now) - Why We Built DynForms

Hey everyone

Tape Forms is on its way to become a very powerful tool, but currently there are limits - conditional logic, multiple pages, relation fields or including third party code snippets.

Often, the result is a patchwork of API connections, custom scripts, or workarounds with Typeform, Tally, or Fillout just to get something usable.

We’ve been there too.

That’s actually why we built DynForms - to give Tape users a way to build dynamic, branded webforms without external syncing or complex API setups.

Here’s what we focused on:

:wrench: Full field support (including live relation fields)

Every native Tape field type works - file uploads, categories, relations - even live relation lists that pull data directly from your Tape apps. No more text placeholders or stale dropdowns.

:page_facing_up: Multi-page forms with conditional logic

Split longer flows into steps, hide irrelevant sections, and keep users engaged. Perfect for onboarding, applications, or support intake.

:repeat: Publication logic

Create a form once, and publish it in multiple places - each with its own campaign ID, start/end date, and tracking. Great for multi-channel marketing or partner forms.

:brain: Smart automations built in

Every submission comes with hidden metadata like _form_record_id and _campaign_id, so you can instantly trigger workflows or follow-ups inside Tape.

:jigsaw: HTML & Template fields

Add payment snippets, custom layouts, or embeds right inside the form - no need for external hosting.

:closed_lock_with_key: Data stays 100% in Tape

DynForms never stores your data. Every file, relation, or submission is created directly in your Tape workspace.
DynForms is GDPR compliant.

:speech_balloon: At DynForms, we’ve seen users replace complex API flows with simple, clean form setups - faster to build, easier to maintain, and fully aligned with how Tape is designed to work.

If you’ve been hitting the same limitations, we’d love to hear what kind of forms you’re trying to build. We’re constantly improving DynForms based on real use cases from this community.
