It would be great to have an app-level setting to control whether records from a particular app appear in the global search results.
Some apps are used purely as helper or background apps, and their records only clutter the search results without providing any real value to users.
Excluding these apps from global search could also reduce the size of the search index/cache and potentially improve search performance.
Ideally, this would be a simple toggle in the app settings: “Include records in global search” (enabled by default).
