Got Questions About Tape? Let's Get You Unstuck

Hi everyone,
I’ve been active in the Tape community for a while now, and I’ve noticed that while we have some fantastic discussions happening, a lot of those are quite high level and there might be quite a few of you out there who are hesitant to post questions—perhaps worried they might seem too basic, simple or even as English is not your first language.

Here’s the thing: there are no silly questions. We all started somewhere, and often the “simple” questions are the ones that help unlock the real power of Tape.
So here’s what I’m proposing: I’d like to help answer some of the questions that beginners (or even intermediate users) might have but haven’t felt comfortable asking publicly. This could cover anything from basic setup and field configurations to workflow automation, calculations, or anything else you’re struggling with.

How you can help:
If you have questions about Tape: whether it’s something you’re stuck on right now or something you’ve been wondering about, please send me a direct message with your question Click here to start a message, if the forum direct message isn’t working for you then try here, Don’t worry about whether it’s “too simple” or already answered somewhere else. Just ask!

I’ll do my best to answer as many questions as I can, either through forum posts, short video responses, or other formats. Everything will be anonymized, so you don’t need to worry about your question being traced back to you.

Depending on the response, I’m also considering hosting a live Q&A video call where people can bring their questions and I can demonstrate solutions in real-time. It would be informal, unrecorded (so everyone feels comfortable asking anything), and focused on getting you unstuck with whatever you’re working on, so if you like the idea of that either send me a DM or post a comment here.

Yes, absolutely - feel free to DM me about that separately. However I don’t want people to not ask the questions because they feel they might have to pay, that is completly counter to what i am trying to achieve. Please send me your questions and I will do my upmost to answer as fully and clearly as possible. The main point of this is to help people who may be unsure of something with no pressure (financial or emotional) or judgment.

I feel that sometimes us more experienced and outspoken get lost in the ‘cool’ and ‘impressive’ and therefore forget what people starting out find tricky so this is a way of building some more ‘basic’ guides for people.

All that said I do have to feed the family so I am always open to discussing paid work.

I remember when I first started learning PHP. There was someone like you in a different forum and he helped show me the way when I would get stuck. That was back in 2013. I wouldn’t be here is it wasn’t for him investing in me and helping me understand the how/what/why behind everything.
