One thing I would love to hear from the Tape Team is whether they plan to implement any sort of AI assistant into Tape directly.
The example that Andreas H implemented inside InfoLobby is a perfect example of a feature we would love to see in Tape.
Anywhere that there is a calculation field, or javascript code block option in the automations, having a small AI assistant pop up to give quick input on using javascript for your current need would be amazing.

I get that the ‘AI’ topics here are more about how we can integrate AI tools to make custom solutions and automations connected with tape. But I’d love to expand that conversation to the broader idea of AI getting baked in and making tape easier to use for DIY or ‘low-coder’ users that don’t know javascript as well.

Clients ask for this a lot, and I won’t lie, even though I know my way around, I find myself using that feature in InfoLobby and loving how simple it is to use there.

Hi @CarsonRedCliffLabs,

Thanks for your question. The answer is a clear yes! We’re absolutely convinced that the direct integration of AI will make many things in Tape simpler and better, and it will be essential for future use cases.
The consistent use of JavaScript and the code generation under the hood will open up a lot of exciting opportunities with the help of AI. That’s exactly why we decided early on to secure the domain tape.ai, because we truly believe in this direction.

However, before we roll out a comprehensive AI strategy in Tape, we first need to take our core features to the next level and address the main blockers that are currently preventing some users from migrating to Tape. Right now, we’re focused on improving the new record experience, forms, and mobile.

Once we’ve removed these key blockers for our users, we’re truly excited to fully embrace and integrate AI into Tape.

Best regards,
Leo
