Parent - Child feature for relationship fields

Hi everyone.

The Parent-Child feature for relationship fields is something that makes sense for me.

Scenario.
APP A - Contains all my Companies (HQs)
APP B - Contains all my Branches - with a relationship field to APP - A
APP C - All my contacts: In this App I have 2 fields:

  1. Company Relationship (HQs) <> APP A
  2. Branch Relationship <> APP B. In this field it should only display related branches with 1. Like a sub relationship of 1.

Like in Podio we can choose to just show the items of a specific view on a relationship field. It works but it’s limited and requires to create views everytime you need a new “child”.

Hi Miguel!

This is possible using the Premium “filter” feature for the relationship field. When editing the relation field, click the related app as seen here:

Then select the “Filter” option (you’ll need to be on the Premium tier to use it). The filter will look something like this:

With this, now the “Branch” relationship field will dynamically filter depending on which Office is selected.
