I have built a product board that I would like to allow people to publicly see and even submit an item. Is this possible or should I just stop here? LOL

Sounds like you are looking for web form functionality AND a public display. Currently, you can display a table publicly BUT cannot allow users to add new entries.
As a workaround, you can use Jotform for new entries and then push new entries to Tape via webhook.

as @1F2NS thankfully already described, the share feature of workspaces is read only.
But we will develop webforms for this in the future and until then you can use JotForm or other WebForm providers as suggested.
