Hi everyone, I wanted to ask if itโs possible to say when the feature of sharing a specific page on the web will be available and if it will be possible to prevent it from being scanned by search engines. Thank you.
Hi @Samuel222,
thank you very much for reaching out and for the great question ![]()
Publishing specific records to the web is planned as part of the rollout of the new record experience. It is already included in the overall feature scope, and we have also considered from the beginning that, in the future, non-logged-in users should be able to view or even interact with certain parts of a record, depending on the setup.
I cannot give you a reliable timeline yet, because we still need to finish several other parts of the new record first. But as soon as I have more concrete information, Iโll be happy to share an update with you.
Regarding search engines: the plan is that published records will not be discoverable through search engines. The idea is that you can share a record via a public link, similar to how public forms work. This public share link acts as the secret link, so only people who have the link can access the record.
Making published records indexable by Google or other search engines would be something we would have to build very intentionally on top. That is currently not something we want to offer by default.
So the expected behavior is: you can share a record via a public link, but it will not be discoverable through search engines. The public share link is the secret.
Thanks again for asking, and have a great evening.
Leo
