I receive 15 items from an API request. I would now like to create these 15 new items with a loop and extract the corresponding data from the JSON body. What am I doing wrong?

I am not sure what is up with your script but it feels a bit odd to me (sorry not a huge help there ;))
I guess if you need to the whole [0] in the loop then you could use the entries to build an array of numbers 0-14 and then loop through and add the variable in your script [var_loopArray] and example here:
You should note that this array builds from 1 up so you would need to modify it to go from 0
Hopefully at least something in that lot may help you
