Anyone run into this before?
Webhook is received β add checklist entry on item
Is there a ceiling that Iβm unaware of for the checklist field?

Hi @1F2Ns,
Iβve just checked our limits page and noticed that we currently have a limit of 100 entries. I believe this was just our initial setup, which we can definitely adjust if needed. Iβll take a closer look on this end - could you let me know roughly how many entries you might need?
Best regards,
Leo
I just asked and I donβt think we were any place near 100 on the item.
For this instance, we have a website that we built and sent over to a client for proof. They have the ability to add comments on the website for changes, etc.
Each comment = webhook β checklist item
In theory, if the client was to add a dozen comments in a short amount of time, creating a bunch of web hooks, do you think that could cause this? Thatβs the only thing that I can think of -but I would feel that would be a different error if anything.
I havenβt seen this same issue, but definitely interested to learn and be aware if there is a limitation here.
@Leo one question I would ask is whether that 100 checklist item limit is in total (regardless of open/completed status) or if it is meant as a limit to 100 open/visible lines in the checklist field?
I see 100 being plenty if it is just open items. But we have some longstanding projects that easily surpass 200 items over time (the majority at any point would be in the completed status, but still need to reference on occasion for dates/assignee etc.)
Hi @1F2Ns and @CarsonRedCliffLabs,
@1F2Ns we have checked the error message again and it is indeed only triggered when the limit of 100 checklist items has been reached.
Possibly some were already set to completed and hidden, as the limit is currently enforced for the sum of completed and incompleted as Carson mentioned, so there is no distinction.
However, I also see like @CarsonRedCliffLabs the limit as too low, especially as there is currently no seperation between completed and uncompleted.
Since a proper upgrade is planned for the checklist field in the future, we have increased the limit to 250. If someone reaches this limit, we can increase it further at any time, but then we will probably have to integrate pagination so that client performance does not suffer.
Best regards
Leo
Looking at the item where this error cropped up and you are correct. We hit the ceiling of 100 tasks on that project.
