Syncello - New Exciting Features for Tape Users

Hey everyone! @Martin_E and I have been busy building, and we wanted to share three new Syncello features designed to take your Tape system to the next level.

DATA SYNC — SQL Superpowers for Your Tape Data

Syncello Data Sync now supports Tape, on every plan, including the free trial. Connect any PostgreSQL database, or spin one up with Neon, the affordable, pay-as-you-go PostgreSQL service we highly recommend. It takes about five minutes to create a Neon account, set up a project, and paste your connection URL into Syncello.

Once connected, sync your Tape apps and put your data to work through Syncello AI, our REST API, or our MCP server, with AI-powered query tools for analyzing your data and creating beautiful charts and reports.

Why does this matter? We regularly analyze how people use our platform, and one pattern comes up again and again: getting the reports you really want through the API alone is hard. In a Tape system with complex relationships, chained API calls will only get you so far, while a single SQL query can join many apps together and return exactly the answer you need in seconds. If you’re doing serious reporting on your Tape system, SQL is the unlock.

CHROME EXTENSION — Syncello Actions Inside Tape Automations

The latest version of our Chrome Extension lets you drop Syncello Actions straight into your Tape automations. When adding an automation action, select Syncello Tools, pick any integrated tool, and an HTTP brick is automatically inserted into your template, ready to configure. Paste in one of your API keys once and the extension remembers it for next time.

Prefer working in JSON? There’s also an option that inserts the HTTP brick with a preceding Execute Script brick containing all the JSON needed to make the call. No wrestling with URL parameters.

AUTOMATION API — Build Tape Automations in Plain Language

In case you missed it: Tape now has a beta API for its automation engine and we’ve already distilled the entire API into our MCP server. Connect Syncello MCP to the AI model of your choice (our early testing with Opus 4.6/5 and Fable 5 has been incredibly promising) and write or analyze automations in plain English.

We’ve also taught our MCP server the complete Tape SDK available inside the Execute Script function so you can build traditional brick-based workflows or write everything into a single Execute Script brick, your choice. Our MCP server can now help you build an entire Tape system from start to finish.

A huge congratulations and thanks to @Tim and team for their hard work on this.

Try It Today

Everything above is live right now and included in our free trial. Sign up at syncello.io and see what your Tape system can really do. If you already had a free trial, we’ve reset it and you can take advantage of another 30 days to evaluate these new features. We can’t wait to hear your feedback!\

Here’s an example of a relatively complex automation involving Quickbooks that was written via Syncello MCP using Fable 5.

PS — eSignatures Are Coming

Within the next week or so, we’re launching a beta of our newest feature: an AI-powered eSignature platform built to integrate with systems like Tape. Build contracts and documents from either PDFs or pure HTML with text tags and send them out for signing using plain language — no template wrestling required.

Pricing will be simple usage credits: pay only for what you use, no long-term contracts, no expiring allowances. If you have a Syncello account (or start a free trial), reach out here or via a support ticket and we’ll enable the beta on your account.
