Hi just want to know is there are any known limitations for Tapeapp i.e. for a record to update the field upto 5k revisions and once reached then no field is able to update?(It happens on Podio)
Here Record Revisions are also 5k…What is the Tapeapp behaivor when this limit will hit? Like Podio not to update any field or is there something scenario Tape follows to delete the previous revisions to free up the space?

Hi @Sameer,
We included that 5k limit as a reference in case we decide to start enforcing it at some point.
Right now, this limit is not enforced, which means there’s currently no cap on record activities in Tape.
Even if we were to enforce it in the future, nothing critical would happen, the record wouldn’t freeze or become inaccessible. You’d still be able to work with the record as usual, just without adding new activities beyond that threshold.

If, in the future, you were to enforce that limitation, would it be difficult to set it up so that the oldest notifications fall off?
At times, we use updates as an audit trail for, well, updates. If an item was to simply stop logging updates, that would create a pretty big pain point for us.
If the older logs were to fall off, it would be easier to capture and archive that data.
I understand that all of this is purely hypothetical, but I wanted to make sure to toss that out there for future consideration.
