We’ve noticed slowness in loading pages since last week. We’re not sure why, but when we open a page, it takes about more than 10 seconds to load a page. It’s also hard jumping from one tab to another as pages will take time again to load.

At Tape, fast and reliable performance is a core product requirement for us. It is something we continuously monitor and take very seriously. So when you tell us that pages suddenly take longer to load, we definitely want to understand what caused this and investigate it properly.
Performance issues can have different reasons. Sometimes they can be related to temporary load peaks in a single organization, which may not affect all customers or all users. Sometimes they can be caused by a specific data situation inside one organization or app. And in other cases, the issue can happen on the client side, for example because the browser, local device, or client-side environment is under heavy load.
To help us narrow this down, could you please share a few more details?
- Which timezone are you working in, and at what date and time did you notice the issue?
This helps us check our operations data and see if there were any unusual load peaks at that exact time. - Was Tape slow everywhere, or only in specific places?
For example: opening records, loading tables, opening a specific app, etc. - Did this affect only you, or also other users in your workspace?
- Are you using the old record experience or the new record experience?
This helps us understand whether the issue might be connected to a specific feature or view.
Our infrastructure is designed with a lot of headroom so that normal load should not cause performance problems. But we still want to check carefully if something specific happened in your organization, your data setup, or at that exact time.

We’re at AZ time. We noticed slowness last week Thursday or Friday. No specific time, but we observed pages loading delays throughout the day.
I confirmed with my teammates that we’re all experiencing the same issue.
I think we’re using the new record experience.

We took your feedback seriously and already analyzed it today. Your observation could match our strongest lead: last Thursday, we released some upgrades to our permission system because we are rolling out new functionality there.
Permissions are very performance-relevant, especially when it comes to larger amounts of data or large organizations. We found a small inefficiency that could have a negative impact in a specific data situation. We have already released a first fix for this.
I hope the issue will not happen again. We will continue to monitor it closely. But if you notice the problem again, please write here directly. In that case, it might be an unrelated issue.
For now, this is our strongest lead, and we have already provided a fix for it.
