As per the bug title, I have discovered some frustration with an issue that building a brand new app in New Record Type doesn’t allow full page peek mode if you are working on a draft record.
I never ran into this when converting existing apps to the New Record Type, but now when we’re trying to build new apps that are the New Record Type from conception, this issue pops up regularly.
The new record type requires being on a record to make edits. If a brand new app doesn’t have any saved records it’s common to just open a new record and start creating while on a draft. From there, trying to switch to full page peek mode doesn’t work.
I like to be able to build with the whole screen space available, but the whole screen goes to a blank white screen if the record isn’t previously saved.
