You can now format dates and numbers directly in the calculation field settings, no code needed.
This is part of the new calculation field. Full details here.

Format: Number

Go to Edit field → Number settings

  • Format: Number, percent, currency, or compact
  • Decimal places: 0 to 8
  • Unit: Show as prefix, suffix, or both.
  • Thousand separator: Show or hide
  • Color and Dynamic color: Apply static or rule-based colors. More details here.

Format: Date

Go to Edit field → Date settings

  • Time: Hidden, shown, or required
  • Date format: Full date, long date, short date, numeric, or relative
  • Calendar: Show calculated dates in the calendar

Date formatting follows each user’s personal format settings, just like the date field.
