Really happy to hear that, and thank you so much for the kind words! It really means a lot to us 
Both features are actually right at the top of our roadmap at the moment. We have finished the remaining field types and are currently implementing the ability to choose the primary field.
At the beginning of next week, we plan to start working on Publish record to web. If we don’t get interrupted by other urgent topics or unexpected priority issues, our current estimate is that this should take no more than one to two weeks.
This also connects nicely with some work we are currently doing on our Rules Engine as part of the new Tab Block. We have added “Current User” as a condition in the rules, so individual tabs can, for example, only be shown to specific users. This is not released yet, but it will give us the foundation to also control what is shown when someone opens a public link, which should fit your use case very well.

Hi @Leo , thank you for the super encouraging news. And do you think the “Publish record to web” function could be a replacement for the Procfu application, i.e. I could choose which fields I want to display on a publicly accessible page to people who don’t have a Tape account and access to my workspace?

it really depends on how much of ProcFu you are using today. ProcFu is really great for building portals and mini-apps, especially when you need things like dedicated logins and a more complete portal experience. That is exactly what ProcFu is very good at, and we are not planning to turn Tape into a full portal builder or go heavily in that direction.
With “Publish record to web”, however, you will definitely be able to control which fields are visible publicly. In the first iteration, this will work through Rules, so you can show or hide specific fields and blocks for visitors.
For a later iteration, as part of completing the new record experience, we are also already thinking about assigning specific layouts to different user groups, including public visitors. This would allow you to create a dedicated public layout and decide exactly what people should see.
So depending on how you are using ProcFu today, I think we can get quite close to that experience for many simpler use cases, while ProcFu will still be the much better fit if you want to build a more complete portal or mini-app around your data.
There are a few bigger pieces we need to solve first, because this package touches several areas at the same time:
- Allowing visitors to anonymously edit records and leave comments.
- Making the entire record frame fully mobile responsive, since public links will often be opened directly on a phone without using the Tape app.
So there is quite a bit involved under the hood, but I think this will open up some really powerful use cases once everything comes together
