I would love the ability to save and duplicate when creating items. Or at the very least have a duplicate button near the save button.
Currently it takes four clicks to duplicate and item.

I would think so too. The functionality is there already there. It’s just currently a few clicks away

- This has just become reality with our latest deployment. You should see the new split button when creating records, that allow you to create duplicate or a plain new record in that app.
A refresh of Tape should enough from your side to get started!
@Leo is currently looking into how the UX can be improved there, e.g. via a toast that informs about the successful creation. Currently, it works well but a user may lack feedback for the successful creations. Leo will follow up there.
