Thank you so much to everyone who joined us live for today’s private beta launch of Tape forms - it means a lot to us! As always, your input is really valuable to us.

We’ve got some exciting features in the pipeline and we’re really looking forward to bringing all of them to life. But right now, we’d love your help making the smartest decisions together.

Some of you have shared that forms are the last piece of the puzzle before your team can fully migrate to Tape. Others are waiting for mobile or the new record to go live.

Instead of trying to ship everything at once, we’re considering focusing first on the most essential form features - the ones that are still blocking some teams from moving over.
That way, we can unblock more people sooner - and move faster on mobile and the new record.

Which features are still missing for you to fully migrate?
  • Custom CSS for forms
  • Rename the submit button for forms
  • Captcha block for forms
  • Custom thank you page for forms
  • Redirect to a specific URL after submission for forms
  • Faster development of field blocks (e.g. calculation, date, number, relationship) - used across forms, mobile, and to speed up the new record launch.

As others have mentioned, the relationship field would be great but if we were able to filter the related record that would be shown that would be great! Martin Evans

Hi all,
If this is not currently implemented → Can we edit an existing record with a form?

I would prioritize it to the top or at the very least include it as an option in the survey.

Why? Because with a “simple” record id parameter in the Tape Forms url we could right away have a simpler/faster/instant mobile edition shortcut.

How? Think about something like this added into a calculation field directly: ?prefill.RecordID=@my_record_id&prefill.FieldName1=@FieldValue1&prefill.FieldName2=@FieldValue2

As soon as this would be implemented we wouldn’t even need to change mobile apps or wait for the new records relaunch.

Everyone could directly benefit, especially those who don’t want to mess with external solutions. And this could potentially help a lot of people to make the jump on board. I’ve read a lot of people saying the mobile is preventing them from jumping (or fully jumping) lately.
