πŸ‡§πŸ‡· Tape is now available in Portuguese (Brazil) in beta

We’re taking a big step toward making Tape feel more natural for more people.

Starting today, Tape is available in Portuguese (Brazil) for a closed beta group, and will soon be available to everyone.

This is a special milestone for us. A few years ago, we said that if the Brazilian Tape community continued to grow, we would make Portuguese (Brazil) a real part of Tape. Thanks to our Brazilian partners and the community they helped build over the years, that moment has now arrived.

So this beta is not just about a new language. It is also about keeping our promise.

:brick: The process

Three native Portuguese (Brazil) speakers and long-time Tape partners helped lead this work: @bruno.freitas , @jcaldas, and @toni.

Phase 1: Full translation (done)
The first full translation is now complete:
Tape now has 40,000+ words translated into Portuguese (Brazil), from everyday navigation to many product details.

Phase 2: Closed beta (starting today)
Starting today, @bruno.freitas , @jcaldas, and @toni can use Tape in Portuguese (Brazil). They will check what does not read naturally and send feedback directly to our team through an AI-assisted process (Guide for translators). Their feedback helps us improve the translation before everyone can switch.

Phase 3: Open beta (June 10, 2026)
Portuguese (Brazil) is now available to our closed beta group. In 14 days, we plan to make it available to every Tape user.

:bulb: Notes

If a translation feels misleading or easy to misunderstand, please leave a comment below.

@bruno.freitas , @jcaldas, and @toni will review the feedback first. This way, nothing gets lost, and everyone can follow the current status. Changes in Tape can take up to 14 days to appear, but they usually go live much sooner.

A few things to know:

  • Some parts are not translated and stay in English, for example automation runs and code.
  • Some words do not change, for example Tape and Workspace.
  • To keep the Community easy to follow for everyone, posts and comments should stay in English. If you report a translation issue, feel free to include the Portuguese (Brazil) word or sentence that does not sound right. This helps Toni, Bruno, and Julio review the exact wording while keeping the conversation open to everyone.

Happy building.
