🆕 Image field for forms

We’re very happy to introduce the image field. :tada:
Participants can now upload images or drag and drop images directly into the form – ideal for sharing product photos, visual feedback, profile pictures.

Just unlock your form app and simply type /image to create a new image field in the linked database. Or, type / and choose an existing image field.

Settings:

Like every other field, the image field comes with all field block advantages - rules, columns to place two image fields side by side, label display options (none, top, left, right, icon only), and much more ➔ see here

The image field also introduces its own specific behaviors.
Click the ⋮⋮ button that appears on hover on an image field to access:

  • Edit style
    • Size - choose between Small, Medium, Large, or Full
    • Fit image - adjusts the image to fit within its display area
    • Large drop zone – enables a bigger upload area
    • Set as paste target – images pasted using Cmd/Ctrl + V will be uploaded to this field. (This option only appears if the form contains multiple different image fields)
    • Button label – auto or custom text, with an optional icon
  • View linked field
    • Limit – choose ‘No limit’ to allow multiple images or ‘One image’ to restrict uploads

Unique capabilities & benefits:

  • Multiple image fields in one form – organize uploads by type for cleaner, more structured responses
  • Cmd/Ctrl + V support – instantly add screenshots or copied images without extra clicks
  • Flexible drag & drop – reorder images within the same field or move them between separate image or file fields
  • Multi‑image management – select multiple images for batch actions like reordering, moving or deleting
  • Upload progress in % – see real‑time progress for each image
  • Responsive layout – works seamlessly in multi‑column forms and across screen sizes
  • Quick upload – if the form has just one image field, simply drag image anywhere to upload

As promised, the new fields - like the image field - are immediately available for use in forms.
The image field also works in the mobile app with the current workaround for editing or creating records, and once all fields are rebuilt, all new features of the image field will be fully supported in the upcoming new record experience.

Explore what’s possible with our Property listing form template - a quick way to see the new image field in action. Can’t wait to see what you’ll build.
