What number should this ticket get? How do you generate the next one in sequence? And how do you make sure every ID stays unique?
These are the details that should just be there, not something you need to build with a workflow or a calculation.
The unique ID field generates a unique ID for each record. Itโs ideal for ticket, contract, or order numbers.
Weโre happy to release the new unique ID field today across the new record experience, Tape Forms, and the mobile app when creating and editing records.
The ID is automatically managed by Tape, stays unique, canโt be edited, and remains the same for the lifetime of the record.
